Did you know Access to Work applications are currently taking over 40 weeks to process?

This can feel like forever when you need support, but don’t worry—there are things you can do while you wait for your application to move forward.
1. Document your challenges:
- Keep a journal or make a list of how your condition affects you at work (such as your productivity, stress levels or ability to complete tasks.
- Record examples of tasks that are difficult to manage.
2. Start preparing your documents and details:
This should include:
- Your job description
- Date you started your current job
- Your business details
- Your latest self assessment (if you are self employed)
- Have a clear idea of the support you’ll request so you’re ready when the application moves forward.
3. Explore free resources and tools
- Look for the accessibility functions on your computer or phone.
- Try apps for time management, focus or task tracking (examples include Tick Tick, Trello, text-to-speech and Moodflow.)
